KORIM 4-O is a complete orienteering timing and training management system designed to make races and trainings easier for organizers and athletes alike. Built on reliable, low-cost NFC technology, it combines wrist-worn watches, a portable Master Station, and a cloud-connected web app — so you can set up an event without IT skills and manage everything from any phone, tablet, or PC.
System Components
An NFC-enabled watch that is able to work as a runner chip or as a checkpoint station. In runner mode it stores up to 300 checkpoint visits on the watch itself. In checkpoint mode it writes punches onto runners' NFC cards. The watch automatically detects which mode to use.
The bridge between your devices and the app. Connects via Bluetooth to your phone or PC, relays data to watches wirelessly, and reads or writes NFC cards.
Your organizer control center — a Progressive Web App that runs in any modern browser. Manage runners, courses, readout, and results. Works offline at remote training locations and syncs to the cloud when back online.
Standard, inexpensive NFC tags used as runner chips or checkpoint station cards. No proprietary cards required — the same technology found in everyday contactless cards keeps costs far below traditional orienteering timing systems. An NFC card can be bought for less than 30 cents and it can either act like a runner chip or a checkpoint.

Simple setup — no IT skills needed
Create courses, register runners, and read out results through an intuitive web interface. Quick course creation during readout and on-the-spot runner registration mean you can run an event even without pre-registration. Organizing a simple training takes around 2 minutes of setup for someone without knowledge about the system.
Manage from any device
Install the app on your phone or PC. Multiple organizers can work on the same event simultaneously from different devices, with automatic cloud sync.
Cloud sync with offline support
All data is stored locally and synced to the cloud when online. Run a full training session in the forest with no signal — readout, results, and course management all work offline.
Fixed, random, and score courses
Support for fixed-order, random-order, and score-based orienteering courses with time limits, penalties, and per-checkpoint point values. The KORIM 4-O app will also support further race formats, such as relays and team events.
Dual-mode watches
Each watch can act as a runner chip or be placed at a control as a checkpoint station. This way you don't have to buy many watches at first if you just want to have a basic system for your team — you can buy enough watches to use as checkpoints and hundreds of low-cost NFC chips for your runners. Modes switch automatically based on the NFC card presented — one device, multiple roles.
Affordable NFC technology

Multi-organizer events
